A new book casts Hollywood and the entertainment industry in the light of a more recent but all-too-real tragedy in the entertainment world: child pornography. The book, titled The Unauthorized Report: Sex, Lies, and Records in the Entertainment Industry, is the account of an FBI agent who was sent undercover to investigate the company that employed one of the convicted child pornographers, reports The Hollywood Reporter. That agent tells of the crimes he discovered, which included videotapes of children being abused and then sodomized with dildos, along with drug use and pornography.
The book, compiled from interviews with Hollywood insiders and insiders from every major industry, concludes that the entertainment industry has a child abuse problem. “There’s a lot more than just 100 child-porn emails [on Hollywood executives’ computers],” says the agent, a reference to the emails found on the computers of top executives at the now-defunct studio Miramax, as well as executives at major entertainment companies like Disney and NBC Universal, which was bought by Comcast. In order to study the relationship between blood pressure control and the pharmacologic use of antihypertensive drugs in uremic hypertensives receiving hemodialysis, mean values of blood pressure were correlated with the doses and the plasma levels of individual antihypertensive drugs. Sixteen hypertensive uremic patients treated with long-term hemodialysis were studied in a cross-sectional design. The mean values of blood pressure were 139 +/- 19/77 +/- 11 mm Hg. The antihypertensive drug regimens consisted of Ca antagonists, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, and beta-blockers. In only
