A PC or laptop with the proper hardware and drivers can be used as a standalone system to run and configure Microsoft Office, or it can be used as the base system for a sandboxed Microsoft Office, .Pages Tuesday, January 24, 2012 I don’t like to be left out of the conversation I can say “Yes” and “No” to the most basic questions. A quick exchange of words can be enough to get me out of any tight spot. But when faced with a tough problem or problem-solver, I get stuck. I panic and don’t know what to do. I end up making mistakes and doing things that can only be described as “Plan B” (see here and here for definitions). I can’t think of a better example than this : “No, I have no problem with that.” “Ah, No! Oh No!” “No, I don’t like it either.” “You don’t like it?!” “No, I have no idea.” “I have no idea either.” “And you’re suggesting I do…?” “No, I have no idea. It’ll just take a little time. Let me think it over.” “No, I’ve already decided.” “You’ve already decided? How much time will it take?” I’m like a loud little pig when I’m nervous, so I did what a lot of people do when they’re nervous: I froze. In that moment, it became obvious to me that I was incapable of starting to solve this problem. So rather than forcing the situation and failing, I chose to back out and say “No” and leave it at that. Every time I do this, I feel horrible for doing it. The problem escalates. I’m stuck (now in the real “Plan B”). Then I think “Should I change my mind? Could I change my mind? Should I change my mind? Could I change my mind? Should I do it anyway?” After some time I start to feel really anxious. This is the bad part. We’re so good at making decisions that we never use our brains and keep thinking about “Should I?” and “Can I?” and “Could I?” instead of just making a decision and following it through. I like to think of “No” as “No, I don’t know” and 6d1f23a050
